Jason and I enjoyed a really nice anniversary last month. We dropped off Abby at my sister's house while we enjoyed window shopping at an outlet mall nearby. Afterwards, we ate at one of our favorite restaraunts, "The Cheesecake Factory." It was delicious and we enjoyed a night out alone.
A few days later we celebrated a relaxing Easter holiday. Abby really enjoyed coloring Easter eggs and then finding them out in our backyard during our Saturday celebration. We also took her to the mall for her traditional picture with the Easter Bunny. Abby loved sitting on his lap and even gave him a few smooches. She definitely liked the Easter Bunny a lot more than Santa!!
The next day Abby looked so pretty in her new Easter dress, bonnet and gloves. (The gloves were way too big but she LOVED them!!) After going to church, we had Tasha and her husband over for a nice Easter dinner. We really enjoyed this holiday and it was fun to see Abby have so much fun and really get involved in what was going on.
A few weeks later, my sister Tasha gave birth to a healthy baby boy they named Coldon Roy. He was a stubborn little thing and refused to turn from being breech so Tasha ended up with a c-section, but both are doing well now. We got to go down and see then soon after they had come home from the hospital and I couldn't get over how small he was. Newborns are just sooo tiny and you sometimes forget when you haven't been around them for a while. Abby was fascinated with the baby for about 2 minutes and then enjoyed playing with Riley the dog and Milton the cat!
And that pretty much takes us today. We have a lot going on that I will hopefully be able to share soon. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new addition next month. In fact, I am now officially full-term according to my doctor so he could come any day (although Abby was a 41-weeker so I'm not holding my breath!) Abby loves giving my belly kisses and rubs and she tells everyone that she is "having a baby brother soon." She is super adorable right now and we are constantly amazed by the things that come out of her mouth. She definitely keeps us laughing. Hope all is well, and I will really try to not let another month pass before posting again...
