Another First Day...

Ever since Abby and Landon started back to school in August, Nolan has been counting down the days until he would start his school too. Unfortunately it was a rather long wait since his first day of school wasn't until after Labor Day. The big day finally arrived on Tuesday, September 8th and he couldn't have been more excited about it!

We enrolled him at "John Wesley Day Nursery" in downtown Hagerstown and he goes every Tuesday and Thursday from 9-12. There are only 9 kids in his class with to teachers and he also has a neighbor friend, Libby who goes with him so we are able to carpool together. He has really enjoyed his first two days so far!!

 I can't believe my little Nolan man is already in preschool!!

Sneaky Stair Climber

Oh this girl...

She is always on the move!

She has mastered climbing all the way up the stairs now and thinks she is pretty hot stuff doing it!

Landon tried teaching her how to get back down again...she thought he was so funny!

Looks like she is in jail...

But really she is just taunting me from up high now!

"Aren't I sooooo funny?!?!"

Love this sweet little girl of mine, but why does she have to be growing up so fast?

Labor Day Hike

On Labor Day, we got together with Tasha and Jeff and their family for a little hike at Gathland State Park. It was a gorgeous morning for a hike and all of us enjoyed getting together for a little adventure along the Appalachian Trail. 

Afterwards we headed to Frederick for lunch and to see the progress on their new home. It sure is nice having them so close by now. I am sure we will have many more adventures together!

Bitty Baker

Abby has really gotten into baking lately and LOVES it. She even bought some fancy decorating tips and made these cupcakes and cake all by herself!

The next week she tried her hand at a layered cake with homemade frosting...

Looks like we have a little baker on our hands!!

Another Soccer Player!!

We have another little athlete in the family. Nolan started playing soccer this fall and seems to enjoy it for the most part. He isn't quite the sports fanatic that Landon is, but he enjoys chasing the ball and kicking it into the goal, or at least trying to!

He has a cute little team of five players and he is playing with HAYSL (Hagerstown Area Youth Soccer League) this year.

Their field is really small so they spend a lot of time kicking the ball out of bounds and throwing it back in, which can be a bit annoying for both the players and the parents watching the game.

But he's learning some good technique and making some good friends which is the main reason we signed him up this year.

First Day of School

After a fun-filled summer, the school year officially began on Wednesday, August 19th. Abby was very excited, Landon...not so much, but he has become a big fan over the last two weeks which is great.

Landon is now in 2nd grade with Mrs. Jamison...

And Abby is now a 4th grader (What?!?!?) with Mrs. Pereria although they are moving around to all three 4th grade teachers for each subject so she also has Ms. Loving and Mr. Lingenfelter as well.

They both had a great first day of school and have really enjoyed their teachers and classmates these last few weeks. Here's to hoping this trend continues!!
