5 Months!

Our little Hudson man turned 5 months old on April 30th!! He is such a content and happy little fellow and awards us daily with his smiles and laughs. He is starting to talk and coo more often and has a lot to say when he is supposed to be quiet like in church! He is still long and lean and so fun to cuddle with. His naps aren't great or consistent but he is pretty happy throughout the day so we can't complain too much. He went through some sleep regression this last month but seems to be back to his normal once per night wake up session. He sleeps mostly in the pack-n-play next to our bed but I will often bring him into bed in the early mornings if he wakes up to eat and we'll get to cuddle a bit more together. All of his siblings are still obsessed with him, especially his big sister Maylie. We make quite the little trio together during the day until everyone else comes home from school in the afternoon and the real chaos begins!

Sure do love this cute little man of ours!!

7th Grade RESA

Abby made Distinguished Honor Roll again for the 3rd marking period so I got to attend another RESA ceremony on Monday, April 29th to mark this accomplishment. Abby makes us so proud of all of her hard work and accomplishments!

7th Grade Chorus

After a few snow cancellations earlier in the year, Abby was finally able to perform in her 7th grade chorus concert on Thursday, April 25th. They sounded so good all together!

Abby has really enjoyed her chorus teacher, Mr. Pompa and is very sad that he will be leaving to teach at another school next year. He is a really fun teacher for her!

Happy Easter!

We had a beautiful Easter day that helped us to reflect on the amazing atonement, sacrifice, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Oh sweet the joy this sentence gives, "I know that my Redeemer lives!!"

We spent the day going to church, watching Easter videos, visiting a local cemetery and enjoying a wonderful Easter dinner with my sister Tasha and her family.

Easter Fun

We had our Easter "fun day" on Saturday, April 20th. After the kids woke up, they went on a scavenger hunt to find their Easter baskets.

The clues took them all over the house and yard...

And finally they found the good stuff!!

Later that afternoon we colored Easter eggs...

This was followed by an indoor Easter egg hunt. We changed things up a bit and had each child find 20 eggs in a specific color per child. This allowed us to do easier hiding spaces for Maylie's eggs and harder ones for the older kids. I think they really enjoyed this new challenge and everyone came away with the exact same number of eggs as well which helped with our super competitive children! 

Brotherly Love

I love how much Landon and Nolan just adore their little brother. Nolan was cuddling with him one afternoon and told me to take a picture. How could I not capture this sweet image?

Little Baby Girl?

Maylie had a friend over for a playdate and they decided that they wanted a little girl baby. Their solution? A pink headband!!

It's warm enough this week for some short sleeves for this little guy and we loved seeing him in this little froggie onesie!

Baseball Opening Day

Landon switched Little Leagues this year and is now playing on the Alsatia team for Federal Little League. They had their opening ceremonies on Saturday, April 6th. He is excited to play for the same coach that he played for during Fall Ball and with several kids he knows either from school or other baseball teams.

Abby's Trip to Wicked!

Abby had the amazing opportunity to visit New York City on a school field trip on Wednesday, March 3rd. They left the school at 5 a.m. and arrived in New York City around 9 a.m. where they attended a master class with some of the cast members from the Broadway show "Wicked."

Afterwards they got to spend a few hours eating lunch and shopping around Times Square. It was a beautiful Spring day in New York City!!

Then they headed over to the matinee showing of "Wicked" at the Gershwin Theater. Abby said it was amazing and she loved every minute of it!

After the play they headed over to Dave & Busters for some dinner and video games before riding the bus back home to Maryland. It was a busy and exhausting day but what a fantastic field trip for Abby to be able to go on!

4 months!!

Hudson officially turned 4 months old on March 30th. He is such a sweet little boy and we can't believe how fast this time has gone. Abby and I were both really trying to get him to smile for these pictures but he was having none of that. We probably took over 20 pictures and most of them were blurry since his arms and legs are always in motion these days!

He had his 4-month check up on Tuesday, April 2nd and he is healthy and perfect. He is 26.5 inches long (94th percentile) and 13 lbs 13 oz (15th percentile). He is long and lean!! He has hit every milestone and the doctor was impressed with how well he holds himself up, how well he can focus on objects and what a sweet little guy he is. He is growing up so fast and we are all just trying to soak him all in!!
