Teen Showcase

Abby took a Teen acting class through Authentic Community Theater over the last four months. They had their showcase right after Christmas at the Black Box Theater in downtown Hagerstown. This was the day before she tested positive for Covid so she was able to sneak it it just in time!

 

Christmas Day 2021

What a magical sight awaited us on Christmas morning!

There was plenty of excitement as the kids came running down to see what Santa had brought!

After spending a long time opening presents, we all got to work on our different projects and crafts that we had received that day.

Jason was napping by 11 a.m. We found out a few days later he had Covid and he in turn gave it to Abby and Hudson. All of them had very mild symptoms but we had to deal with another 10 days of quarantine for the second time in a month!!

Christmas Eve

We spent part of Christmas week making and putting together these goodie boxes and delivered them to friends and neighbors on "Christmas Adam"...the day before Christmas Eve!

On Christmas Eve morning we went and saw "The Polar Express" at Warehouse Cinemas near our home. We even got to get our tickets punched by the "conductor!"

That afternoon we spent some time making our gingerbread houses. These were actually Oreo flavored houses and tasted much better than gingerbread in my opinion!

They all turned out pretty great!

That evening it was time for new Christmas pajamas!!

Even Cooper got some new pajamas this year. He wasn't terribly thrilled by them by we sure got a kick out of them!

We finished the most magical night of the year with reading and acting out the Christmas story, eating some yummy treats, and watching a Christmas movie before heading to bed that night!

 

Mall Playdate

Hudson and I have enjoyed being part of our ward's playgroup each Tuesday morning. On the Tuesday before Christmas we checked out the playground at the mall. It was Hudson's first time playing there and he loved all the giant fruit and vegetables!

Then we made a quick detour to the riding cars area and I made all of his little boy dreams come true when he got to write this red car!

 

Santa on a Firetruck

Santa Claus came through our neighborhood on a firetruck on Saturday, December 18th. We all got some candy canes and enjoyed some Christmas tunes as he made his way around Maple Valley Estates!

 

Holiday Spectacular

Abby had the opportunity to perform in her first major production at Barbara Ingram for their Holiday Spectacular. This show highlights the many talented students in their different disciplines and it was so fun to watch them all finally be on stage again after a nearly two year absence!

She thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and enjoyed being a part of big stage production again. She was fabulous!!
