On Saturday, December 14th I got another charm during my WW meeting for losing 10 pounds! I know the weight loss will start to slow now that I am so close to my goal weight but I am just thrilled that I was able to lose 10 pounds during the holiday season and finally get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I am trying to be more mindful of my eating and choosing my treats wisely, splurging when the treat is really good but avoiding the mediocre ones. I don't have to eat it just because it's there! It feels nice to be in control of my eating again, instead of feeling like food is controlling me.

Abby's Jazz Class
Abby has been taking a Jazz dance class on Thursday nights since September and on Thursday, December 12th we got to watch her perform during parent visitation. This has been a bit of a stretch for her as she doesn't have much dance experience and wishes that she had more friends in the class.
I thought she did a really good job dancing, although she looked miserable during the whole class because she rarely smiled. I think it's good to have these things that don't necessarily come easily and that you have to really work at to get better and this is what dance is for Abby right now. She knows to be a true "triple threat" in theater she will need to become a better dancer and I am proud of her for working on this talent!

Cub Scout Caroling
On Wednesday, December 11th Nolan went Christmas caroling with his Cub Scout troop at a local nursing home. They did a great job singing various Christmas songs to residents as they ate dinner and in their rooms.
Nolan was definitely tired of singing by the end of the evening, but it was a really nice way for these boys to share some Christmas cheer!

My blessings...
Grandma Call requested some new pictures of our kids for her kitchen so this last Sunday I went out and took some right before church. I sure do love these crazies and am so glad that they are mine!!

myWW
I joined myWW (Weight Watchers) on November 15th. I just needed some more accountability to get these last 15 pounds off from trying to get pregnant/pregnancy/nursing/too much treats, etc.
So far I am loving it and almost halfway to my goal weight. I've lost 8 pounds in the last month which included our beach trip/Thanksgiving so I am thrilled. I received my first charm last Saturday during my meeting for hitting 5 lbs lost. I am hoping to be to my personal goal weight by Valentine's Day, but may even make it by my 40th birthday in January.

Little Ballerina
We had parent visitation night for Maylie's ballet class on Thursday, December 5th. She has been loving her ballet class each week and is always excited to go. It was fun watching her perform a bit for us!
She is in a class with other 4-5 year old girls and is right in her element. It looks like she is staying more on task now than she did when she was 3 and taking ballet at the YMCA. I think she will be even more thrilled about dancing when she gets her fancy costume for her May recital next spring!

1 Year Old!!
We drove back to Maryland early Sunday morning and attended church in our home ward. After naptime, we attempted to get some one year shots but he was moving like a crazy animal so every shot was quite blurry. This is the best one we got!
Eventually we just stuck the sticker on his back since he kept trying to rip it off when it was on his chest!
Then it was time to open up presents from his family!!
Oh how we love this sweet little boy!! He make us laugh every single day while also making us pull our hair out with all of his shenanigans and mess-making skills. He has taken a few steps now on his own but still prefers his mad crawling abilities to get himself into EVERYTHING! Still no teeth but that doesn't stop him from eating everything in sight! Now that he can go up and down the stairs, nothing is safe from this crazy munchkin. So grateful for this last year that we've been able to enjoy this cutie-patootie!
