Jason had some vacation time that he had to use up before the end of March so we took advantage of the wonderful weather last Friday and spent the day in Washington D.C.
The weather was perfect and there were lots of people enjoying the outdoors on the mall.
We spent most of the afternoon at the Natural History Museum. We were hoping Landon would take a nap in his stroller, but he took one look around and decided he had better keep his eyes open for this one!!

Both kids absolutely loved this museum. It was by far our best Smithsonian experience to date. We saw some giraffes (with exceptionally large tongues)...

And some elephants...

And even a few dinosaur bones!!

After enjoying a nice evening picnic, we went around to see the monuments at night.

Abby and Landon even created their own little concrete slide...

It was a perfect day and we all had a great time. The kids were awesome despite not getting any naps. It was definitely a great way to bring in the start of Spring!!

Ok, so I am curious as to what your media bug stats were for the day. You had to have had hundreds of steps and walked a few miles. What a great spring beginning.
