On Friday night, we headed out to watch a Hagerstown Suns baseball game. We really enjoy these minor league baseball games although we weren't sure how long the kids would last.
The weather was perfect and the kids were enthralled with all the action around them...
It was the final reward for all the kids in the area who completed the county library's reading program so there were lots of families there enjoying the game.
One reason we like minor league games is because you can get a lot closer to the action at half the cost of a pro game!
Abby and Jason even got picked to do one of the "between-inning" games they do out on the field. Abby had to run back and forth finding articles of clothing for Jason to put on. (He ended up with a red vest, purple high heels and a denim purse...it was a lovely sight to behold. Abby even won a t-shirt for her efforts and Jason got a t-shirt for being a good sport!)
So how long did our kids last...well we stayed for all nine innings plus the fireworks at the end. It was a very fun night for all of us and they keep asking to go back. I think we may just have to make that happen!

Fun! We enjoy minor league games too. And, the fireworks are always a plus. What a great reward for summer reading.
How fun just going to the game but then they got to go out there, what a blast.
So fun to see your family activities and the fun you have. It looks like dog got to see the game too.
I love your blogs and it helps us be a part of your lives even though you are so far away. Love you all! Mom
