Day on the Farm

We went with our church's playgroup to "Misty Meadows," a local dairy farm in our area. They first took us on a little tractor ride around the whole farm where I gained a greater appreciation for the life of dairy farmers and that made me want to purchase all of our milk products from them (too bad it's so expensive!)

After the farm tour, we came back to the petting area where we got up close and personal with several goats, cows, pigs and chickens.

Nolan really liked the chickens and kept sticking his fingers through the wire mesh. It's a good thing they didn't bite those little fingers right off.

We finished off our exciting adventure with the BEST ice cream ever which is made right there at the dairy. Seriously, you all need to come visit us just to taste this incredible goodness!! The dairy farm has been around for years but they just opened the Ice Cream Parlor last winter and ever since we discovered it, we have been hooked. Yes, it is THAT good!!
