We are in the midst of house training Cooper and have found that he likes to do his business on the family room rug, the one area of the downstairs that is not hardwood! Until he is better able to control his bladder, we have blockaded the family room area so that our rug can be spared his pitstops.
I thought we had done a pretty good job blocking the area when I heard some whimpering coming from beneath my seat on the couch. Turns out Cooper is small enough to sneak under the couches but couldn't quite figure out how to get himself back out!
We all got a kick out of our little "sneaky" puppy. Too bad his plans didn't get him any closer to his favorite potty rug!

That is both sad and funny all at the same time:)
Ohhh, he's so cute! My girls would die to have him! Good luck with the potty training. That can't be fun! :)
He is adorable! I have been reading a lot of books about dogs since our 5 year old Beagle has separation anxiety and we're trying to help that, and one gave a good tip on potty training puppies that may work. It said to line a room with newspaper and then once he potties on that move that newspaper on top of clean newspaper and move to a corner of a room. He should potty on that pile instead of all over the house. Each time you just remove all but one layer of soiled paper. If you haven't already, you could try something like that. Then, once he is potty trained, you can dispose of the whole thing.
Good luck; he's a sneaky, but cute one!
