Honor Flight

On Friday, May 29th we were able to spend the morning in Washington, D.C. to visit this wonderful lady...

Jason's grandma was a part of the Utah Honor Flight which flies WWII veterans to our nation's capital each year so that they can see the sites and monuments that have been erected in their honor. The kids loved seeing their only surviving great-grandparent and it was so special to share some of this experience with her!

Each veteran also had one escort with them for the trip. This is Jason's uncle Keith who really made this trip possible for his mom...

Such a great moment to see some of these surviving members of "the greatest generation"...

I respect and honor our military veterans so much and it was such a privilege to be with them at the World War II Memorial on this special day!

Grandma Clarice with most of her East Coast family members...

And the rising generation of great-grandchildren (at least those who live on the East Coast!)

So thankful for the bravery of this generation and the freedoms that we enjoy because of their sacrifice!
