Father-Son Bonding Time

The Stake held their Father/Son Campout on Friday, May 24th and Jason was brave enough to take both boys along. They actually had a really good time, even though it was unseasonably cold that night!

Here they are setting up their sleeping area. Jason and Landon shared a queen air mattress and Nolan slept great in the pack-n-play. All of them stayed pretty warm with lots of layers and winter pajamas!!

The Church has recently purchased a campground about 30 minutes north of us in Pennsylvania and have called it Camp Liahona. It is where all the ward/stake/scout/girls camps are held and it is beautiful!

Nolan loved wandering around the campground, gathering his survival supplies...

And all the fathers and sons enjoyed spending lots of time together!
All bundled up at the end of May!! (A few days later we were back in the 90s...go figure!)

On Saturday morning, Landon got to try out some archery...

And even shot a BB gun for the first time

Nolan was content to just wander around like a little Huck Finn (my sister's nickname for him!)

I was a bit worried about how they would fare, especially with how cold it got that night, but they all had a great time and can't wait to do it again soon. Hopefully we'll get to do a family camping trip too sometime this summer!

Chris hates camping so he just did a father/son bonding of playing video games. I am glad that yours had fun despite having such a young one with them.
