Medieval Times

To celebrate Coldon's birthday, his family invited us all to attend "Medieval Times" with them in Baltimore. It is a fun dinner/theater type place that makes you step back in time to witness a medieval tournament with the crown cheering on certain knights on a quest to become the king's champion. There was jousting, swords, horses, knights, an evil messenger and royalty involved so the kids were all hooked from beginning to end!

Here is our whole group together...

Some of the cheering fans (we were assigned to root for the green knight!)

Introducing the King...

The King arrives!!

The horses inside the arena were amazing and beautiful to watch...

We all loved the intensity of this particular actor...

A shot of the competing knights...

Go Green Knight!!

They also served a pretty yummy dinner of tomato bisque, roasted chicken and potatoes, corn on the cob and a pastry. There was no silverware given with our meal so our hands got pretty messy, We were in the dark ages after all!! Such a fun afternoon!!

Little Artist

Landon was very quiet one Sunday afternoon, happily entertaining himself with these little blocks. He designed several different objects but I think these flowers were my favorite...

Such a creative little mind he has!

Kitchen Makeover

After enduring this builder grade kitchen for over five years, I finally took the plunge and did something about it...

The initial plan was just to paint the cabinets, but one thing led to another and after some updated appliances and flooring too, it looks like a brand-new kitchen!!

I am really in love with this space now and it brings me a lot of joy, especially since I spend so much time in here!

It was a time-consuming project, but I couldn't be happier with the results. It feels so fresh and new and is definitely more my style now.

American Ninja Warriors

We had to check out this new place in town called "4-Star Obstacles."

We are all kind of obsessed with the show "American Ninja Warrior" and this place offers a chance for kids and adults to tackle some of the obstacles from the show in a safe and padded environment.

The three older kids loved getting on all of the obstacles and were actually quite good at them.

They have some pretty mad skills when it comes to wall-climbing, monkey bars, and jumping over things!

Here's a cool shot of all three of them in action from their Facebook page.

The kids keep asking when we can go back. Our schedules are pretty packed with the three older ones playing different sports this season, but we do hope to make it back soon!

She sure does love to bake!!

Easter 2016

Trying to take Easter pictures and get to church by 9 a.m. was a little tricky, but somehow we made it work.

Maylie was much more interested in the outdoors than she was in getting her picture taken.

Look over there...

No, down here...

That grass is sure pretty...

Aren't I so silly?!?!

Nolan was pretty excited about his new bow tie and was quite the ham for the camera...

Landon however was not impressed with the whole affair.

This is how he felt about the whole bow tie thing...

"I am smiling, Mom!"

At least I can always count on Abby to be a good model for me!

The girls...

The boys...

They were bumping bottoms in these pictures, hence the more natural smiles!

The whole Easter crew together!

Some more happy about it than others...

Happy Easter!!!
