9 Months!

This cutie-patootie turned 9 months old on Friday, August 30th. He brings so much joy to our family and we can't imagine our lives without him. He is now quite the little crawler, loves to eat any and all foods, and is now quite the little mess-maker now that he is mobile. This month he also started making these cute little kissing faces and saying "Da-da" when he's happy and "Ma-ma" when he's sad. He just goes with the flow on all of our many family adventures and we love him so!!

Happy 9 months little man!!

Discovery Station

While Abby was at the Youth Temple Trip on Wednesday, August 28th, I took the younger kids to the Discovery Station for a few hours.

Nolan enjoyed being a firefighter...

While Hudson enjoyed all the large building blocks!

Greenbrier Days

We went to Greenbrier State Park at least once a week all summer long. It's one of our favorite summer traditions and the kids always have fun playing in the water, on the sand, and in the marshes collecting all kinds of critters.

But just like all good things must come to an end, our last day with our friends was on Tuesday, August 27th. We did make it one more time with Tasha's family on the following Friday but I didn't capture any pictures that day!

Hudson did really well this summer as long as he had a constant supply of snacks to keep him entertained!

Afterwards we headed over to Nutter's for some yummy ice cream which is our "last day of Greenbrier before school starts" tradition.

I sure will miss these Greenbrier days!!

End of Summer Girls Party

Every year Abby's friend Sydney hosts a fun party for a great group of girls that all graduated from Paramount together. These girls now attend three different middle schools but always love getting together whenever they can!

So grateful that Abby has managed to stay friends with all these girls despite their different interests, backgrounds, and schools. I can't believe they will all be 8th graders this next year!

Disney World Day 6 - Magic Kingdom

Our last and final day at Disney World was spent at Magic Kingdom. After checking our bags that would eventually be waiting for us in Baltimore, we said goodbye to All-Star Music and headed on our final bus ride to the Disney Parks.
We started off in Adventureland where we rode on "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Magic Carpets of Aladdin," "Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse" and watched the "Enchanted Tiki Room." We also ate some yummy Dole Whip between rides!

Later that morning we had Fast Passes to ride Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland.

We also used a Fast Pass to ride "Peter Pan's Flight" in Fantasyland, took one more ride on "It's a Small World" and had lunch at Pinocchio Village Haus.

We had a little time to finish up our souvenir shopping before boarding a bus back to our resort and then to the airport for our evening flight back to the real world again!

We had a really great time on our Disney World vacation. It was hot, exhausting, and swarming with crowds but we had an incredible time at the most Magical Place on Earth!!! Until next time...

Disney World Day 5 - Hollywood Studios

We decided to rope drop Hollywood Studios on Friday, August 23rd in order to try to get on Slinky Dog Dash which meant that we were in the park by 8:30 a.m.!! Unfortunately that ride was down at park opening so some of us held our place in line while others rode on Toy Story Mania and Alien Swirling Saucers.

Some fun character we saw while waiting in line...

Slinky Dog Dash was finally up and running around 9:45 so we got on and had a fun ride (except for Maylie who said it was her least favorite ride!!!)

After finishing up all the rides at Toy Story Land, we had lunch at the ABC Commissary and then used our Fast Passes for Star Tours.

Jason, Abby, and Landon headed over to ride "Rockin' Roller Coaster"...

Then we all joined up again to watch the show "Beauty & the Beast."

After the show we split off again for Nolan, Abby and Jason to ride "Tower of Terror."

While the older kids were riding roller coasters, Maylie enjoyed meeting Doc McStuffins!

Then we headed over to Hollywood & Vine for our dinner reservations with some fun Disney characters again. Hudson sure loved Donald Duck here!

After dinner we tried to watch the "Indiana Jones" show but it was having some technical difficulties so it let out early. This did give us an extra set of Fast Passes to use though so Jason took the older kids plus Nolan this time on "Rockin' Roller Coaster. He LOVED it!! We also did Lighning McQueen's Racing Academy right before this as well.

Our dinner reservations got us special seats for the nightly showing of "Fantasmic" which was amazing!!

It was such a fun-filled day at Hollywood Studios. I think we did just about everything we could and rode every ride at the park!!
