One Month!

Hudson was looking pretty dapper for his second Sunday at church and the last one with 3-hour church. Jason is in the Bishopric so handling 5 children by myself for Sacrament meeting can be a bit tricky. Some weeks are better than others and I try not to stress about it too much!

Sunday, December 30th also marked Hudson's one month milestone!! This month has gone by so incredibly fast and he has already changed so much. We can't wait to see how his personality will continue to develop but hope he doesn't grow up too fast!! We are trying to soak up this newborn phase as much as possible because we know how fast it goes by!

Happy one month birthday little Hudson man!!

Santa Baby!

Of course the best present we got this Christmas was our sweet little Hudson. He didn't seem to get all the hoopla about Christmas morning and instead chose to sleep through most of it!!

He did wake up enough for us to get some cute Santa pictures with his eyes wide open though!!

It was a good thing I took these pictures right after putting him in this outfit because just minutes after these pictures were taken, he spit up all over it!! Such is the life of a Santa baby!

Christmas Day!

On Christmas morning the kids all awoke to some special gifts from Santa.

Nolan got an EZ Roller and loved riding all around the house with it!

Landon got a football/baseball target game...

Maylie got some new dress-up dresses, shoes, and accessories!

And Abby got a new soft blanket, a stuffed koala and a craft kit!

The kids also surprised us with a fun gift of treats they thought Jason and I would enjoy that they all put together in a special box that Abby had designed. This was one of the sweetest parts of Christmas for us as parents!

After enjoying our Santa gifts for a bit, we then took turns opening up the rest of the presents under the tree. Christmas 2018 was another magical experience for all of us!!

Christmas Eve!

On Christmas Eve morning we headed over to our local airport for a quick picture and chat with Santa and Mrs. Claus. No line, the kids all cooperated for a picture, and even got a little goodie bag too. It was a treat to see Santa just hours before he begins his busiest night of the year!

We came home and decorated our gingerbread house together. The frosting didn't cooperate very well, but we did our best. All four kids enjoyed decorating it but Landon refused to be in the picture when he found out we had turned the gingerbread cookie into a girl!

That afternoon the kids all opened up their gifts to one another and spent several hours playing with their new toys and gadgets. That evening we read the Christmas story from the Bible while acting it out in a very non-formal way! Abby was Mary, Landon was Joseph, Maylie was the Shepherd, our dog Cooper was her sheep, Nolan was the Angel and we had a perfect baby Jesus acted out by Hudson!

Then it was time for some new matching pajamas!!

We opened up our traditional family game after taking pajama pictures. This year it was the Disney version of "Eye Found It" and it was quite the hit!

Christmas Adam

We spent our "Christmas Adam" going to one hour of church on Sunday. This was Hudson's first time going to church and he made a big hit. What a handsome little boy!!

Maylie loved this red dress that matched Abby's dress but it was way too long for her. It didn't seem to phase her though. She wanted to get her picture taken with her little brother too!

The kids all cooperated in getting our traditional Christmas picture taken in their Sunday best in front of the tree. We sure do love these five kids of ours and we are all excited to celebrate Christmas together in just TWO days!!

Temple Lights

On Saturday, December 22nd we were able to take Jason's parents and sister to meet Tasha's family at the Temple lights. We got there early to beat the crowds and enjoyed looking at all the nativities inside of the Visitor's Center and then went outside to enjoy all the beautiful lights. Afterwards we headed to our traditional dinner at the Corner Bakery and then had dessert at Tasha's house so the Calls could see their beautiful new home in Frederick. It was Hudson's first outing other than to the doctor and he handled it like a champ!

Ninja Warrior

The Calls were even able to go to one of the Landon and Nolan's Ninja Warrior classes on Saturday afternoon. Both boys enjoyed showing off their ninja skills!

Visit from the Calls!

We were so blessed to have Jason's parents and sister Jennifer fly out to spend the Christmas holiday with us. They flew in on Thursday, December 20th in the evening and spent five days with us. We went to the Pennsylvania Dutch Market on Friday afternoon for lunch and some Amish cheese and bakery items which we ate throughout their visit.

Of course there was some baby snuggling too!

Abby and Grandma Call spent Saturday morning making some yummy goodies (Kolaches and cinnamon rolls.) Maylie even got to make some mini cinnamon rolls which she is showing off in these pictures!

Abby was in baking heaven and was a great assistant for Grandma!

Newborn Pictures

My wonderfully talented neighbor took some newborn photos of Hudson on Friday, December 7th when he was just a week old. I was nervous on how he would do during the photo shoot but he was a perfect little angel and she got some adorable photos of our little man. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!!

I love these photos so much!! He is the definitely the best gift we will be getting for Christmas this year!
