Christmas Day!

Christmas Day was full of excitement as everyone unwrapped gifts and played all day long with their new items!! Hudson was especially fun to watch as he was thrilled with each and every present!   

Everyone seemed pleased with their gifts and enjoyed unboxing all of their new items.

We spent the rest of the day eating yummy food, playing games, and playing with new toy and gadgets. It was a very nice Christmas day!

 

Christmas Eve!

The Christmas season sped by and before we knew it, it was Christmas Eve!

We started the day by decorating some gingerbread houses.

And ended the evening with some Christmas pajamas,

And a new family game!

They seemed to love their new Mickey pajamas!

Then it was time for some Christmas cookies and a movie before bedtime on the most magical night of the year!!

 

Santa on a Firetruck!

On Saturday, December 19th, Santa himself came through our neighborhood on a firetruck. Oh how we love this Christmas tradition. HO HO HO Merry Christmas!!

 

First Snow of Winter!

We were supposed to fly out of Hagerstown for Jason's sister's sealing on Wednesday, December 16th. Instead we got a major snowstorm and all flights were cancelled for the next two days. It was fun to be on our porch with our Christmas tree as we watched the snow start to fall that day!

Not too much to start with...

But gradually we got more and more throughout the day!

We ended up with about 8-10 inches and enjoyed playing in it over the next few days! We enjoyed sledding down our own front yard and trying out our new snow sleds!

We even built a couple of snowmen too!

A few days later we drove to a bigger hill near our home to really get some good sledding in. Such a fun time in the snow!

 

Service project

We decided to do a family service project to help us remember the true meaning of Christmas. We sent out flyers to our neighbors to collect items for the Community Action Council to give to those in need. Then we went back out and collected all these items a week later. It was a great way to serve others in our community and focus outward during this holiday season!

 

Little Captain America!

This boy loves dressing up. One day he came upstairs dressed in his finest Captain America gear. He looks pretty handsome to me!
