Puppy Loving

Our friends' dog had puppies a few weeks ago and invited us over to come play with them for a bit. The kids were in heaven playing with them all and they seemed especially enamored with Nolan! Such cute little pups and as much as they all begged to get one of them for our family, I am relieved they are all spoken for. Puppies are cute but they are also A LOT of work!!

Right after this visit, we got a call from a member of the Seventy and our Area Representative inviting both Jason and I to meet with them over Zoom. We knew what they meant as they were changing our Stake boundaries the next day and would be forming a new Stake with new boundaries. Needless to say, Jason was called to be the new Stake President of the newly reorganized Chambersburg Pennsylvania Stake. We are all in shock and just trying to get used to this idea. He has been Bishop for just over two years and now will be Stake President for the next 10 years or so. Big changes for our family for sure and we all feel a bit overwhelmed by it all. He was sustained on Sunday, March 28th and gave the names for his two counselors within 10 minutes of receiving his call the day before, one of whom he had never met before. Here's to a new adventure!

Spring is in the air

With warmer temperatures come some park days for these kids! It is nice to have this little park at the end of our street that we can walk to on nice days. It finally feels like the long night of winter is releasing it's grip on Maryland. Oh how I love spring!!

Easter Pictures

We decided to do Easter pictures two weeks early since we had Stake Conference the week before Easter and General Conference on Easter Sunday. As you can see, Nolan was absolutely thrilled with the idea, but the rest of the kids managed to oblige! I managed to get 3 of their outfits all coordinating at the consignment store this year and then Landon's and Abby's from Amazon. Win win for me!! They all looked pretty in purple this year!!

Freshman Showcase

Abby was finally able to return to a hybrid schedule of in-person learning in February and they were able to have their first in-person performance on March 20th. Everyone performed solo and in my very biased opinion, I think Abby stole the show!! She did a monologue, a solo dance number she choreographed herself, and the song "Notice me Horton" from Seussical the  Musical. She was amazing and we were so glad we could see her perform on stage!

Anniversary Gift

We didn't really do anything too exciting for our anniversary this year. The older kids had a youth activity that day so we didn't even go out to dinner together. But Jason did surprise me with the new olympic weight set which was very exciting. We sold our old standard weight set to make room for these new beautiful plates!!

Leprechaun Trap

Each of the kids made their own leprechaun traps this year. Unfortunately no leprechauns were caught, but they did leave some yummy green goodies for St. Patrick's Day so all was not lost!

First lost tooth!

Maylie lost her first tooth at the beginning of March. She was sure excited about his milestone and was even more thrilled with the $2 that the tooth fairy left under her pillow that night!
