Thanksgiving at the Outer Banks

Since everyone was doing school online this year, we decided to turn our Thanksgiving holiday into a full week one at the Outer Banks. We drove down on Saturday, November 21st. Hudson threw up on our way down so we stopped to clean everything up at a rest area and played in the leaves while we let the car air out a bit!

Spending time at the Outer Banks is my favorite and we had such a nice, relazing week. The Outer Banks has a much different feel at Thanksgiving than it does during the summer and it just feels so nice to be all together again!

The boys braved the COLD ocean one afternoon. Everyone thought they were crazy but they had fun!

Hudson and I preferred watching the waves from a good distance away. The sound of the waves is just so calming to my soul!

You really can't beat the view of the sunset from the boardwalk overlooking the Sound. We spend many evenings walking along the boardwalk and visiting the shops just to enjoy this view!

We spend a day at the sand dunes and everyone loved wading in the water for a bit. Hudson got a little too into it and we realized we probably should have brought a swimsuit for him. He was SOAKED!!

Of course we also enjoyed a wonderful turkey dinner on Thanksgiving and did a lot of online shopping on Black Friday. But most of all we just enjoyed spending time together as a family! We are already looking forward to summertime when we get to do this all again!
