Disney World Day 2 - Magic Kingdom

The second day of our Disney World vacation was our favorite day of all. We spent the entire day at Magic Kingdom, literally. We opened and closed the park and the kids were awesome through it all!!

Cinderella's Castle was amazing...

Maylie wouldn't take her eyes off of it!!

I loved all of the Fall decorations around the park too. It was still in the 80's during our visit so it didn't feel much like Fall, but it was fun to see all the different colors!

We never waited in any lines to meet any of the characters, but we managed to see a few from afar, like Alice...

And Merida...

"It's a Small World" was a favorite ride, especially for Maylie who was mesmerized by all off the different dolls!

The carousel was fun too!

I really enjoyed the rides that the entire family could go on like Dumbo, the Teacups, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, etc. They were so fun!!

We spent A LOT of time in the gift shops. Each child earned money during the summer for our trip and each had a Disney Gift Card with that money to spend. They loved looking at everything, but spending their own money made them more particular about how they would spend it and there was no asking for everything in every shop which was really nice!

For lunch we ate at "Chef Mickey's" which was a character meal with all of the main Disney characters.

We had Goofy...

And Donald (or "that Duck Guy" as Nolan referred to him)...

Mickey, of course...

Sweet Minnie Mouse was there...

And even Pluto!!

We watched a few minutes of a show in front of the castle...

And caught the end of the Fantasy Parade on Main Street...

We took a little rest and toured the whole Park on the train...

One of the perks of going in September was that we never waited more than 20 minutes for any of the rides. Our longest wait was for the Winnie the Pooh ride but all the different activities that they had for the kids while we waited made the time fly by!

We also had Fast Passes for the popular rides like Peter Pan and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Roller Coaster (which was brand new and my personal favorite ride!) The stroller pass also made it fun for Abby, Landon and Nolan because they got to ride on many of the rides twice when Jason and I would switch places to take care of Maylie while only having to wait in line once!

It rained quite a bit that afternoon, but once it cleared up, the Park was even more deserted which gave us time to do a few things we were going to wait for another day to do like visit Frontierland.

We loved the Haunted Mansion ride and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (one of our favorite rides of the whole trip!)...

We enjoyed a few more rides late in the afternoon like Tomorrowland Speedway, Space Mountain, and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin before having a bite to eat at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.

We finished dinner with just enough time to grab a seat for the "Wishes" fireworks program that closed the park. It was spectacular!! Tinkerbell even flew right over where we were standing!

We finally left the park and got back to our hotel around 10 p.m. This is how we all felt...

We were exhausted but had such an amazing day at Magic Kingdom!!
