Day at Hershey

After lots of debating back and forth, we decided to get season passes to Hershey Park for the rest of 2021 and all of 2022. We had never been to the park before so it was a bit of a gamble to see if we would actually like it or not. We had actually purchased season passes for Hershey Park back in 2020 but after Covid hit, we got a refund and decided to try again another year. Since the kids had fall break  on October 14-15, we decided to got to Hershey and spend the day there last Friday.

We started off at Hershey World which we have been to several times and always enjoy. We all like the free chocolate tour ride where you learn all about how they make chocolate. Of course we also really like the little Hershey chocolate bar they give you at the end!

Nolan was really hoping that we would get him his dream KitKat bar!

Then we stopped by the ticket office at Hershey Park to get our season passes and see how tall everyone was for the different rides.

Looks like Hudson is a Kiss...

Maylie is a Hershey's bar (barely)...

Nolan is a Twizzler (barely)...

And Abby and Landon are Jolly Ranchers!

We also had to document the fact that Landon is now officially taller than Abby!

We still had a couple of hours until Hershey Park at Dark was open (5-9 p.m.) so we headed over to ZooAmerica which is free for us as season pass holders.

We loved all the different creatures including the many different kinds of turtles...

Armadillos...

Lizards...

A bobcat...

A black bear, brown bear and lots of vultures too!

Prairie dogs...

An antelope...

Cougars...go BYU!

Bald eagles...

Wolves...

And a porcupine!

About 4:45 p.m. we got into line to enter Hershey Park. Jason, Abby, Landon and Nolan rode several of the big roller coaster rides while I took Maylie and Hudson to ride the kid's rides. We met up several times during the evening and got to ride about 7-8 rides each.

The crowds were heavy but it was a beautiful night at the park. We stayed until closing, choosing to ride the monorail as our last ride together as a family. We are already excited to go back another time to explore the park even more!
