Bear Lake Reunion

Just two days after the kids got out of school for the summer, we packed up the car and headed out to Utah to visit family and spend time at Bear Lake for the Call Family Reunion.

We stopped at Heber City for some yummy shakes from Granny's and then made our way to Utah where we celebrated a late birthday dinner for Landon at "Chuck-A-Rama." Landon was pretty excited to meet up with some of his cousins there!

We stayed in Salt Lake for two nights and then headed up to Bear Lake on Monday morning. On our way, we stopped at the Treehouse Museum in Ogden Utah which was a blast. They had all kinds of neat things for our kids to do there and they all had a great time.

Maylie loved wandering around and exploring...

Landon seeing if he was strong enough to pull out the Excalibur sword (he wasn't!!)

King Landon and Prince Nolan!

Abby loved the craft projects...

Go Cowboy Nolan!

Our very own rodeo clown!

Maybe we should move to a farm since these kids have some pretty mad milking skills!

No worries, the firemen are on their way!

Maylie for President!!

Landon giving us his best Abe Lincoln impersonation!!

The youngest pediatrician ever!

We arrived at Bear Lake around 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon and got to work reacquainting ourselves with our Call cousins again. They were all fascinated with making homemade Root Beer!

The view of Bear Lake from our vacation home...spectacular!!

The home my in-laws rented was wonderful. It had plenty of space for everyone and lots of things to do both inside and outside the home.

The kids especially loved the slides between floors!

We spent a couple of mornings out at the lake on a sandbar. The water was pretty cold, but it was fine to wade in and collect skipping rocks.

We played some pretty fun games of kickball as a family and enjoyed feeding the seagulls too.

There were lots of hours spent playing board games...

And the "Minute to Win It" games were quite a hit too!

On our last day we rented a kayak and a paddleboard. I think the kids enjoyed this version of paddleboarding the best!

But this was perhaps the best part of our vacation home, an indoor playground with a playset, a trampoline and a basketball court.

We stayed at Bear Lake until Friday morning and then hit the road for the long ride back home. All that driving was worth it though!! Such a fun family vacation!
