Memorial Day

On Memorial Day we headed over to Rest Haven Cemetery where they had a special program honoring our fallen veterans. Luckily we found some shade and enjoyed a nice morning outside.

They had a few speakers, a bugler rendition of "Taps" and then a quartet play some nice patriotic music.

Being surrounded by so many flags reminded us all how grateful we are for this great country and the freedoms that we enjoy here.

I couldn't help but think of my Dad during this ceremony and how much he would have enjoyed it. I know he would have shed a few tears thinking about his years in the military and his fallen comrades overseas.

So grateful for those who have given up all of their tomorrows in order for us to have our todays!
