We usually wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas, but we changed things up a bit this year. We bought a new 12-foot Christmas tree in early November and wanted to see what it would look like right away so we've had that set up for several weeks now!
Then with a new baby scheduled to arrive any day, we all decided it would be fun to do the decorations a little earlier this year. So on the weekend before Thanksgiving we dragged up all the boxes from the basement and got to work. We got the whole house decorated on Saturday morning but saved decorating our giant tree for Sunday afternoon. We had to use our new ladder to get all the ornaments on that beast but it sure does look beautiful in our home now!
I guess we will be extra grateful for Christmas this Thanksgiving!!
