Landon was one of four 5th grade students from Paramount Elementary to compete in the County 24 Math competition on Wednesday, May 1st. He was pretty nervous going into it but we encouraged him to just have fun and do his best.
There were about 100 kids competing at the 5th grade level plus another 100 from 4th grade so it was quite the event held at Hagerstown Community College.
Our seats at the top of the bleachers gave us a pretty good perspective on things down below.
The first two rounds were pretty intense and we were all pretty excited when Landon made the top 16!
Here he is at the table with other finalists. Unfortunately he didn't move on to the final four from this round, but he was still pleased with his overall performance.
Then the next day we woke up to find this cute picture on the front page of our local newspaper. Landon is a celebrity!!
