Aladdin, Jr.

Back in early March, Abby auditioned for the part of Jasmine in her school production of Aladdin, Jr. While she didn't get the main part, she did get to be the understudy which ended up being a lot of work. She not only had to learn all of Jasmine's parts, but all the parts for the ensemble as well. She went to rehearsals four days a week throughout March and then everyday rehearsals in April. All that hard work paid off when she got to play Jasmine for two of the school shows and was in the ensemble for 4 more shows. It was an amazing show and we were so proud of Abby and all of her efforts!!

Jason got to see Abby as Jasmine in the school show on Wednesday, May 1st and then I got to see her in the school show on Thursday, May 2nd. She did such a great job!!

She enjoyed performing on Thursday with her good friend Lauren from church!

Abby with Carter who did a fantastic job as the Genie!

She lit up the stage with her amazing performance!!

With Mrs. Sunday who is does such a terrific job of putting these shows together!

Tasha's family came to see her perform on Friday night...

And the rest of the family came on Saturday night!

Abby with two different "Jasmines!"

She had such a great experience with her "theater family" and was so sad to see it all come to an end. She is hoping to get involved in some community productions because she can't imagine waiting a whole year before doing it all again!
